In my impression, theme business has become more difficult since 2015, because of more and more new web designers and WordPress developers has accessed to this field, especially teams. Yes, some awesome teams released their super multiple purpose themes that allow users to create almost all kind of common website, and they include 20–100+ demos and a powerful page builder in one theme package! What a big workload it is!
Recently I received many questions from our theme users that their WordPress website can’t send mail to visitors. Generally, I told them to make sure the PHP sendmail module is working properly on their server, however, after they installed the sendmail module and checked again, they had another problem that the sending speed is very slow and asked me how to fix it, it’s a server configuration issue, although I know a solution is that update the “/etc/hosts” file on your server with “nano /etc/hosts” command to like this: 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost yourhostname, but I just strongly recommend to use Mailgun SMTP service to instead of PHP sendmail, because of high stability.
Recently I rebuilt the system for my server and created a new WordPress blog, but when I tried to upload pictures to the post, the upload process was interrupted by an error, it says that “The uploaded file could not be moved to ../wp-content/uploads”, what’s up? Read More »

Now I use BackWPup plugin and Dropbox to backup all my WordPress sites, that’s so great! The plugin will auto backup the data and files and upload the file to my dropbox, then, the dropbox will auto-sync all the backup files to my local computer! Now I would like to share my experience to you.

WordPress 3.2 has been downloaded a killer 12M+ times. WordPress as a whole continues to grow and is touted to be in the approximate 14% of the web zone. That’s ridiculously huge and it astounds me how big the projects footprint has become in the 7 years I’ve been around the community. Well done to all involved!
With that said, WordPress 3.3 is just around the corner and, as usual, it’s chock full of goodies for everyone. I’d say that the notable changes for developers are the most significant. Improved metadata handling, improved SQL tools, improved cache API and deprecation of several venerable functions are all changes that developers should be aware of.
This article touches mostly on the user experience and features that are new in WordPress 3.3. Developers who want to dive in should reference this running list of “things” that were addressed in WP 3.3. Read More »
